“Move-in ready” is one of those phrases that sounds simple—but it can mean a few different things depending on the home.
In Coastal Virginia, where you’ll find everything from older established homes to newer construction, it’s a term that’s helpful… but not always complete on its own.
Most of the time, a move-in ready home is one that’s fully functional and safe to live in right away. That typically includes:

Coastal Virginia has a wide range of housing styles and ages, which is part of what makes the market so interesting. Two homes can both be considered “move-in ready” but feel very different once you walk through them.
Instead of focusing only on the phrase, it can be more helpful to think about what “ready” means for your life right now—your timeline, your comfort level, and what you’re willing to update later.
